On July 9, 2014, the CSI published results of the International Programme PISA 2012 with a focus on financial literacy. The subject of financial literacy was among pupils from involved individual countries tested for the first time ever since 2000. TALIS 2013The international project TALIS is the first international survey interviewing teachers and school principals from 34 countries and economics  about the school climate, course of the learning process and work conditions of teachers and principals. The main data collection took place in the Czech Republic from 5 March to 5 May 2013 at 220 schools on the ISCED 2 level. The CSI hosted representatives of Republic of Korea Ministry of Education

On Monday, February 2, 2015, the Deputy Chief School Inspector Ondrej Andrys received a delegation of 26 participants from the Korean Ministry of Education. During a hour´s meeting our foreign guests were introduced to the Czech education system and the role of the CSI. In the following discussion the delegates took interest in FEP (Framework Educational Programs) and SEP (School Educational Programs) topics. At the same time they inquired about methods for dealing with risky behaviour of pupils in schools e.g. bullying.

Czech Presidency in European Schools

Czech Presidency in European Schools

On September 1, 2014, the Czech Republic assumed presidency of the Board of Governors of European Schools as well as other administrative bodies of the system. This happened for the first time since 2004 – the year of the Czech Republic´s accession to Convention Defining the Status of European Schools. The Czech Republic will thus distinctly participate in further development of European schools till the end of the school year 2014/2015.
